BEST news EVER! I'm pretty sure they have a home!
I was going by what some of the neighbors were telling me when they said the birds were abandoned along with the house. Tonight I went to feed them and as luck would have it, it was dusk out. I decided to watch where they went. They walked up through the woods and I followed them to the next house, which is complete with a chicken coop/shed (I did not see any other birds there, other than these 6). We knocked on the door of the home to confirm that they lived there but no one came to the door. I'm going to guess that they do live there though, since they all marched into that yard and toward the coop at dusk. I think it's safe to assume my duties are done.
I should be able to sleep tonight!
