A few weeks ago I posted about my legbar Mongoose, she'd gotten poked in the eye and was having issues, so we separated her and started treating her eye. Unfortunately one of our other girls developed fowl pox last week, so we had to move Mongoose from quarantine sooner than I would have liked. Her eye has not gotten worse, the filmyness has actually improved quite a bit but she is still a little out of it and is getting bullied a bit by another hen. She has not gotten any worse off, she still eats and drinks but seems a bit wobbly and unsure of herself. We feed her scrambled eggs daily, wash her eye with saline and treat it with (non paincontrol) neosporin twice daily, but I'm worried there's more we can be doing. I'd prefer that she be separated but we have no where else to keep her since the quarantine is occupied, does anyone have any advice? She's got no respatory issues, no eye discoloration or leaking, so signs of mites- I think she's just out of it and stressed. When we had to pull her from quarantine, she was behaving almost back to normal but has withdrawn again and spends most of her time hiding between the nesting boxes. The only thing I can think to do would be to keep in her a kennel in the run, but I worry that might stress her out or put more of a target on her.
(Her skins a bit dried out from the saline and the pics are right after she'd eaten some electrolyte and redpepper infused scrambled eggs) 20241026_142334.jpg

Also wanted to note she and the other hens all got vaccinated last week and are showing no signs for fowl pox. I don't know if the vaccine ontop of still recovering from infection may have just knocked the energy out of her.
