Hi all, not sure if this is 100% where to post this specific concern, but here goes.
This is Peanut,
I want to say he's almost a year old now. We hatched them ourselves. Peanut had splayed legs so right from hatching, I've been a real pain in his behind and make sure he's pretty well taken care of.
He always had kind of a crooked neck and even though it's odd, it has never affected his behavior or social standings within the flock.
Unfortunately, since winter just passed and where they're located is a mess, I don't regularly tend the chickens in the winter weather, that's all my dad. So now that the weather is nice, I've been visiting and re-establishing my place as their person (though I only really like some of the chickens
).
Peanut's neck seems to be a bit more crooked, and at this point it seems to be a defect, since again, he's always been crooked and is acting the exact same as always. The hens, and maybe other few roosters, have definitely been bullying him and he's lost his gorgeous feathers. I'm more concerned though about the black on his crest and...under beak area. I've read before it can be from the cold. As for his feathers. I'll be harassing my father to potentially separate him so he can heal up a bit.
Any other advice or tips would be highly appreciated!
Also, here's how he looked before, and few extra photos.
Thanks again!
