The frame. Yes, there is a live trap in the middle bc we were seeing evidence of raccoons even though nothing was housed there yet. Also, the wood at bottom will be the anchor the the subsequent attachment of underground wire and water deflection. Compost bins are in lower left of pic.
Neighbor huntress cat is inspecting. The hinges allow for the doors to open fully, against the side of pen.
Cross beams for structural support. Nice amount of room in the pen.
We installed a half wall, so there is shade and wind protection, or visual disruption if whole pen used. And this is where we put guides so the pen can be divided with slats (tongue and groove siding) that are light and easy to slide in or put away on top of the half wall when not in use.

Old dryer drum on blocks is a warm spot for chicks.
