This is my first year in the "chicken world" and my chickens are laying eggs now. I have RIR, bar red rocks, red sex links, and buf orb.'s. I have had dark brown, tan, pinkish, and even double yokers. Can anyone help try to figure out who is laying what eggs?

Check out Cat's Critter's egg color chart.. It's a great place to start.

I have a Barred rock and a RIR that are just starting to lay---my BR 's egg is a creamy-pinkish brown...my RIR is a brown egg--the color of brown eggs in the groc. store.. I hope that helps some...

Mine:

two black sex links--brown eggs
one barred rock--slightly "dustier" color of brown (I'm not sure quite how to describe it)
RIR--pinkish-tan (aka "tinted")
Plus, one white leghorn--white!

thanks, that helps. i work during the day, so on the weekends, i try to spend as much time as i can with my chickens. i have 23 all together, and today i picked 12 eggs. thanks again!!!!
