Put my 5 year old back in coop she started a fight wirh my younger ones and then they started fighting took her back out and put her in kennel in run during the day and put her in a cat kennel in coop at night. How long will it take to integrate her back in she was in the house for 2 weeks she definitely recovered for her to start the fight. I think she was egg bound she laid one egg has not laid since. It was warmer today so I could put her back out. Any suggestions?

I would continue with the crates for at least a week maybe two. You have to treat it like you are integrating a new bird. I had to do this with a hen that was bullied so bad she had barely any feathers on her back.

I have needed to isolate a hen due to Bumblefoot for two weeks, and she just got sent to the bottom of the pecking order. She has lived with the others her whole life.... I dont know if that affects it though. She occasionally gets pecked on the head for eating near the Alpha hen, but other than that it is fine.

I just read this... I would put her in a dog crate for a few weeks until the pecking at her stops and then let her out with everyone else 😁

Well been keeping her in kennel in run and somehow she got out and found her hiding and looks like they got in a fight she is ok traumatic for her. She wants her dominance back over the four new chickens older girls stayed out of it. But its 4 against one. So she is in house for an hr or so for her to calm down then will put her back in and tie the door shut this could take weeks I'm thinking

And at night she is in cat carrier in the coop so she can stay warmer. Its eastern wash so its 30s and 20sat night and snow

This is going to take a while today somehow she got out of the kennel in coop luckily I checked on her and I thought the others had killed her she was huddled in corner took her out she was fine I don't know how she got out so now the kennel has a lock on it to keep it from being pushed open. Tonight none of the chickens would go in the coop at all they wanted to sleep in the pen they don't like the cat carrier in there. They could be scared of her but she is the one that got beat up. So plan 2 put her in the basement where its cool and will put her out in pen during the day. Just like I would be introducing pullers. Its winter so they don't get outside all the time in the winter we have hawks so I have to be out with them. Will try on a nicer day putting them all out with her in kennel then let her out and supervise.

How long did it take to fully put her in?

She is in the kennel during the day in chicken run I did put her in cat carrier in coop but the other chickens don't like it in there so tonight they refused to go in I had to get them in one at a time so I took the cat carrier out and put her in the basement in another kennel I have where its cool and will put her back out in kennel in the morning and see if the others settle down. Also today I don't know how she pushed kennel door open and there was a big chicken fight luckily I went out and rescued her she was ok but shaken up. She is top hen of my new chickens from this spring the others seem to get along she wants her pecking order back with them. Also the kennel put a lock on the latch problem is she is attacking them then all four attack her so its not one on one.

Well we are about a week into integrating our once sick chicken 5 year old Americana she's all better she is in kennel in run during the day then about 3:30 in afternoon she goes back into the basement and now she is perching. The others are around her except 2 5 year olds stay in coop when it is cold out. They are fine while she is locked in but when they get out major fight. Its snow and 34 out. So I get her out by herself for a bit and let others out after she is in. Waiting for a warmer day then will get them all out and supervise but I need to take it slow they almost killed her twice.
