I have always had hens and this spring my niece gave me 5 little peeps not 1 week old. Well, luckly only 1 was a Australorp (Ravin)cockerel who started clearing his throat at 7 wks old. We looked at each other and we knew what we had ;-( And since then we've gotten 3 more! God Sakes Alive. So now I have Ravin w/ his 4 girls. A GLW w/ 3 girls and just now 6/13 we have 2 Sizzle cockerel w/ 1 hen!
Question.
We would like to get our 2 silkies w/ the Sizzles, Our Own Girls w/ the SLW or w/ the Australorp but were unsure how to do it. We can't have chicken runs all over the place. I would love it if someone would like the Australorp and then we could put all our girls w/ the GLW and keep the Silkies w/ the Sizzles. That sound a lot more easier for me to take care of. DD doesn't want to kill him, DD wanted the Australorp to begin w/. The other roo's came in by accident.
Does anyone want a beautiful Australorp cockerel. Their breed is known for their great egg producing quality. That was one reason I agreed w/ DD.
