Thought I'd add to this thread. Earlier this week, I shucked and shaved about 5 doz ears of corn. The good stuff (kernels) is in the freezer. On a whim, I froze the cobs too. This morning, although not ridiculously hot, I threw 3 frozen cobs to my girls and one went into the ducks' kiddie pool. The ducks went at it ... like ducks to water. <grin> The hens are a little more hesitant. I'm sure they'll all be nicely stripped by the end of the day tho. I also keep watermelon in the fridge for the kids.
