I have a hen who's developed some sort of respiratory disease. She almost died from it last week.
She is slowly recovering now, but she obviously needs to be isolated until she's 100% healthy. Not even the vet could 100% diagnose her, so because we don't know what she has, we don't know if the disease is contagious and/or when she stops being contagious.
The thing is that she is feeling better so she is always trying to escape from the room she's locked in. She is used to free roam so she wants to go out and forage with the others. I can't let her do that but I also know that chickens are social animals and she can get depressed if she spends too much time alone and bored. So what can I do to make her happy while she is isolated?
