How to keep chicks from roostin in rafters

Well, everybody has been roosting wonderfully on their roost night after night...until last night. We went to lock them up last night and only 9 girls were on the roost. We looked all over the run and couldn't find the other 3. My daughter looked up in the coop and there were my 2 leg horns and one of the BRs up on the 2X4 rafters. One is directly over the roost so the chicks roosting below get pooped on and one is where we hang the feeder from so it was covered in poop this morning!!!! How do I keep them from sleeping there again tonight????

You might need to nail some chicken wire across the rafters to keep them from going up there. I know I had to staple hardware cloth on the side of the windows of the coop to keep some of my girls from roosting on them at night. I got sick of cleaning poo off the walls of the coop.

Yeah, you'll have to block it off some how to keep them down from it.
