I HAAVE A HOME MADE INCUBATOR AND LOOKS LIKE ALL IS GOING WELL. BUT I JUST WOULD LIKE TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE,VERY NEW TO ME. ALL I HAVE IS A 25WATT BULB AND A HYDROMETER AND A THERMOMETER AND A WET CLOTH. PLEASE HELP:bow

It doesn't matter if its in the light does it? Can you hang it on the inside of the bator?

I could try to hang it and see how that works. I just wanted to make sure their was no such distance it had to be from the light.
thanks for your help

What are you asking?
The hygrometer (with a "g"), must be in the chamber to measure the relative humidity within. It doesn't have to stay in there, but it must remain long enough to stabilize.
It should be placed so it measures the conditions felt by the eggs themselves.

Does that help?
