How to keep my chickens cool?

We have been having a long, miserable heat wave where I live and almost everyday it's been reaching 107°F!! The chicken coop and run is under shade for most of the time, but they are still panting. I've tried creating mud puddles but they dry up almost instantly. I put out watermelons/cantaloupes and they love them! I had a mister that I would put out but it broke and before I buy a new one I'm looking for more ideas. I've heard of putting out a wading pool, but I'm not sure if those are good for the chickens or not, does anyone use one and does it help? I'm new to raising chickens and I'm afraid of losing one, so any ideas will be much appreciated!!

Try freezing water bottles and putting them in the waterer. It helps keep the drinking water cold so they take more in. Ice cold watermelon is one of our birds' favorites as well.

I spray my chickens and their coop with the hose when it gets too hot. You can also put a fan out there, which is what I might have to do. Put some ice cubes in their water to keep it cold, but make sure their water stays fresh! Re-fill it every few hours, even if it looks clean. Wet the ground they walk on. You could also try putting frozen water bottles around their coop and in their house. The fan would probably work the best, though you might need an extension cord. Good luck.
