How to keep Shavings inside the coop

Oh, great thread, I had not cut out the chicken door yet but framed it right on the bottom...never even thought about the shavings going out. I will fix that before I cut it out.

If the chicken or pop door is 12" off the ground do you have a ramp inside the coop for the chickens to walk up the 12" to get out their door to the run?

I have a landing platform.

They easily jump up.

This newb is ready stick her birds in and realized the pop door is level with the coop floor. Doh. This clearing after idea is very helpful!
