How to lower humidity and should I help?

I’ve got 2 eggs ready to hatch. One had pipped externally but looks like the membrane is covering where the shell has broken. Is this normal? Should I pierce this? It’s been about 18 hours I think. Also I had to move the bator into a different room today and one egg rolled into a cold spot. It’s the same way up but can I open the bator to move it back?
finally...... (everyone must be sick of the questions by now) I’m struggling to get the humidity lower than 70. Any tips?

Yep, that's normal. If it's only been 18 hours he's doing fine, I don't assist ducks until it's been 32 hours with no progress. Ducks are slow, but strong, hatchers.
A cold spot, how cold? Yeah, move it back right away. You don't want any eggs sitting in cold spots.
You're fine!
No, leave it at 70%. That's the perfect humidity during the hatch for ducks.

Thanks. I’ve moved the egg. Now the humidity has spike up to 76. I’m worried it’s slightly higher as I’m a novice to incubating and I never calibrated my hydrometer. All the air cells were on the small side before lockdown when I dry incubated them

Ok. 76% should still be alright, if that's what the actual humidity is. But if you've never calibrated your hygrometer that's not good. I would do it now. Your thermometers and hygrometers should always be re-calibrated before each hatch.

I know that now. I’m devastated but is it too late to calibrate it now? I read it takes 24 hours. I wish I’d have known this beforehand. I had too much trust in just setting it up
