How to make a brooding hen incubate on eggs

I have a hen that went into brooding phase. It sits on a set of 6 eggs for about half a day and then walks out for the rest of the time. Do I have control over this activity ? Thanks

A broody hen only usually leaves the eggs for around half an hour to an hour in the morning then again at night to get food and drink and to have a good stretch and poop as they wont tend to poop on the eggs. If you are really worried she is leaving the eggs for to long and wont hatch you could move her so she is separate and alone with her eggs
