How to make a chicken fall asleep

I saw that on youtube and just had to share this. And now i am running to the chicks to try it out myself

OMGosh that is unbeleivable

. I should try that, it seems kind of wierd though. Can someone who knows alot about stuff post and say its not cruelty? Cause I'm not sure.

My hubby did this with one of our Quail about a month ago only he did not swing it. He just tucked the head under the wing and with in a few minutes it was asleep. We have not tried it on the chickens though.

A friend of mine and her daughter have chickens. Her daughter discovered, by accident, that the chickens get very mellow when you swing with one on your lap.

We have a swing in our chickens' run, but right now my son does NOT have a mellowing effect on the chooks at all, so I think it will be a while before he can get one on the swing with him... if ever.
