How to make chickens lose Weight

I culled 4 chickens and they were full of FAT!Now im afraid that all of my chickens are fat.How can i make them lose weight,they get fed regular feed and have over 12 acres of land to roam around.

What is regular feed? Starter, grower, finisher, layer, all flock?
Any treats given? Scratch grains?

What breed were they and how old? What is the fat percentage on their feed? If you feel the others' breast bones, do they feel flabby at the sides of does the bone protrude slightly?

If they are laying hens not much you can do, just don't give them corn and wheat, laying hen accumulate fat as they get older. may be some breeds do that more than others
