The best thing here is use a very dark Marans egg instead and fill it with chocolate. I love doing that.

not worried about inside of egg contaminating the chocolate? i don't know about this....especially if it has sat for a while

No further comment was made on this and been wondering.....but maybe when you rinse the eggs use a very little bleach in the water and then rinse very well after, then let dry?

I just made some, I posted about it in the hobbies section as there have been a few threads about decorating blown eggs. I thought I'd share here as well.

Those are beautiful, chick named Lola...that's not typical dye, what did you use?

I believe if anyone was concerned about contamination, you could boil the empty, cleaned shells for a few minutes...or even microwave them.

White chocolate would be fun too...it would look like a boiled egg at first glance.
