How to manage a rude rooster?

Blaming the victim, not better. And fear is a reasonable response, often life saving, not something to blame.
I guarantee that if you meet a hog in the woods and your first reaction is to run, the hog will 100% charge, and I guarantee he's gonna run faster than any humans. My husband almost got me killed because he ran like a wuss in front of the hog and triggered his charge, while I stayed still like he also should have done. Fear is not always a life saving response. It's an irrational response. Especially if the offender is a small bird like a chicken.
Horses, dogs, and humans all have more 'brains' than any chicken!

Yes, that's why humans should be more rational than a chicken and try to not be afraid of something so small that can easily be eaten alive.
Heck, it's not my rooster that gives me the stink eye, I am giving him the stink eye and he knows what I mean. I honestly relate to that tough Russian babushka. 🤣

I wasn't giving him the stink eye lol, I was merely checking his wereabouts while I was going about my daily biz in the yard. I was now limping due to the calf injury a few days earlier and was aware he would deem me easy pickings. Babushka's adult son didn't want any part of catching roo, but her mother tongue lashed him around the yard, poor guy. My dog is also highly trained to the point of not running after a ball should it head toward a road. She will also take alert cues from the chickens and scout for cats to chase from the yard, yet at the local feed shop she will not bother the cats. I have no doubt roo would have gone in the pot and she hasn't advertised anymore chicks for sale since this. Maybe she had no more room in the freezer lol
