I have a chick who has been sick going on day three. I put antibiotic in her water but she is not drinking any. I'm not sure what is going on with her. It seems to be respiratory. Any suggestions on how to treat.

Detail: 3 week old D'ulce pullet. Still in brooder box with two brothers, pine shaving. Not eating, drinking, pooping, huddled, hunched with eyes closed mostly. Clear to slightly colored mucous in mouth and some trouble with breathing. I put antibiotics in the water and have tried to feed yogurt. I clean out her mouth with a q tip when it gets bad. No coughing, sneezing, runny nose or eyes.

You could try putting the medicated water in a dropper and putting it in her mouth. You may also want to try some sugar water ( one teaspoon per quart of water) for a little energy boost. I'm sorry I can't help you more

I hope someone else chimes in with more experience with this.
