Shipping eggs- hatch in egg carton vertically or lay them down?

I would hatch shipped eggs in cut down egg cartons. I have had good results with this method. I cut the cartons down so they are quite shallow but still support the egg in an upright position. I use cardboard cartons not the polystyrene ones. Good luck.

They are Serama eggs and small so they would be on a slight angle. And the pointed end would fit through hole in carton and be on wire, so I just wanted to make sure ... Thanks

So my dates were wrong and so I had the humidity super high for three extra days and now my next eggs to hatch have teeny tiny air cells....fingers crossed.
