We are in for a few days' worth of frigid temps and possibility of snow/ice. I have two hens/rooster in a coop. They have an electric water bowl that keeps the water air temp (as long as power stays on). But as for food, if I left food overnight, the mice would eat it. Unless there is something we can rig up quickly, I don't see how to have food for them -- and it could be days before getting to the coop. I'm concerned about this and would appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

If you have any gallon jugs or containers with handles (or ones you don't mind cutting holes into) you can try to string them up from the roof to keep them off the ground.

**Mice can still climb from the roof- onto the string and get to it but its harder at least

Yes, they would, but you've given me something to consider. No telling how many mice there are though. Thank you.
