How to prevent my coop floor from rotting

Wouldn't that black jack make the coop heat up?
I used a scrap of vinyl flooring we had laying around. I would go to a local flooring store, see about snagging some.
It is wonderful for cleaning!

Why would it cause heat buildup? Whatever is on the floor would be covered with shavings or sand or whatever one would choose to use wouldn't it? Lots of people use vinyl flooring. It's not a bad choice. The advantage of the BJ57 is that it flows into every crack and crevice sealing them completely against moisture, insects etc.

Just thought because it is black it would draw more heat. Black objects tend to draw more heat.
I know when I work outside in the summer, I wear light color clothing as the darker clothing makes me overheated.

Yeah but the coop floor isn't out in the sun is it? And as @TerryH said, it will be covered with bedding of some sort so even if sunlight comes through the windows and strickes the floor, it won't hit the black coating.
I don't know, but I am trying to think how many black floors you see out in a building.
I think a good coat of paint would work - or if they made this stuff in white.
I still think vinyl flooring is a good idea. The vinyl these days is not old school vinyl and has some give. Easy to clean - if you can get dried paint off, you can definitely clean off some poo. ;)

I agree that the vinyl is not a bad choice Lots of folks are using it with good results. BJ57's ability to fill imperfections, even sizable ones, and remain pliable once dry puts it well above regular paint in my book. My coop has settled a bit since I built it and the BJ57 as gone right with it to maintain a sealed envelope. No way paint would have been able to do that. My concern with sheet vinyl is that there is the possibility that moisture might get in between the floor and the vinyl. No possibility of that with the roof coating.

Thanks everyone for all the input-I had hoped to have my coop finished and chickens purchased by May but it's definitely looking more like June!
