How to process processing

FYI, if Kyle is the one in the front on the stump, he's not a Barred Rock, he's a Black Sexlink cockerel. They're easy to get mixed up as they look the same as chicks.
I figured as much. His feathers are really different. But the one in front is White Meat. He was in the bin at TSC with all the other Barred Rocks but he's definately different now that his plummage is in.

It's tough. Have you considered a different method? Granted this one is nice because it doesn't have blood normally, but with the ones that cause blood, you know you did it right the first time.

We have 2 kill cones and I suggested he try it out but he says he'd rather get this method down. He likes that the water bath doesnt get bloody. That way he can pluck the neck feathers away before removing the head.

It turned out that that was not enough to motivate him unfortunately. I ended up reaching out to a processer for a quote. It came down to him saying that the only way he would do it again would be if we had nothing to eat. I think the anxiety of him doing it wrong was just too much. Hopefully the butcher gets back to me and we can get this taken care of.

Just in case they dont...would anyone like a rooster?
