How to produce a golden comet?

I have always wondered what breeds make up a golden comet. I heard it was RIR and buff orpington but was never sure. Also what do you get when you cross white leghorn rooster with RIR hens?

wilmington here, ok here goes.

RIR OR NH rooster X white rock hen = golden comets
RIR or NH rooster X White leghorn = red stars

Males hatch out yellow, females hatch brown or buff color.

Golden Comets, Red Stars etc. are commercial hybrids & are not a simple first cross. They are bred from special strains developed by a various companies.

RIR male X any silver female will give sex linked offspring.... All males hatch yellow & the females more orange.

RIR male X White leghorn (if pure bred) is unlikely to give gold silver sex linked offspring because, White Leghorns, while they often have silver, they are black based birds usually with barring, dominant white.
