Just as you did.
Just type the @ symbol followed by their username.

You 'quoted' twocrows, who 'tagged' several members.
Tagging will notify the member that they have been tagged.

I used to mess this up all the time If you type @ then the first letters of the username a drop down menu of matching names will appear for you to chose from. No typos (which used to be my issue)!

I’m sure you know but just FYI quoting and mentioning or tagging someone are two separate things.
