LOL... new thought... lets just build our chickens real houses to live in... no way something is going to get into my house (except for a mouse here and there). I could make them an apartment over the barn
Lol. I don't have a barn. Maybe that's my problem, I have spoiled "city" chickens who think they need air and plumbing and lights and all. Or maybe they just like the proximity to the fridge.

TOO funny... she likes city living and thinks she needs to be dressed appropriately... better go make that diaper for her... with a pretty pattern on it... maybe some rhinestones
Well, she was waiting by the front door at dusk again. Told her she was just gonna have to wait until I put the other chickens to bed before I brought her prissy butt inside. After I got everyone else tucked in and came back up lil red was sitting by the fence waiting. I picked her up and put her over the fence. She wouldn't go anywhere, so I walked back down and she followed me. She hopped her butt right up with everyone else, and I didn't here any grumbles from anyone besides her, and she is constantly growling anyway. I left the coop and run open (they are inside my fenced in backyard, there are dogs on each side of the fence who stay on their side of the fence. Have no doubt they'd eat my hens if they went on the wrong side of the fence, but they do keep everything else out of my yard pretty good). I am kind of nervous about that, don't want her trapped in with them if they do decide to pick on her in the morning. I might just go shut it and get my ass up at 4 a.m. to open it up. At least she's back with her own flock
, at least until it gets too hot and she wants back in the air conditioning.
Or breakfast, won't suprise me a bit if she is knocking on the door in the morning for her eggs and oatmeal.
Yeahhhhh... and I hope it all works out... But I bet you will miss her waiting for you at night.
The one we have in the bathtub (believe it is Laverne) has become such a sweetie. We bring the one from the barn (believe it is Judy) in during the day and put her back out at night... Keeps the injured one from feeling depressed and lonely
I really want to put Laverne back in the barn, but I want her skin to heal so we don't have flies laying eggs (yuck).
It is sad I can't remember who is who... they all looked a lot a like and I knew when they were all together, but now that we only have the two... I'm at a loss of who is who.
Let me know how tonight and tomorrow goes... Your girl sounds like a sweetie.
