How to safely swap birds?

Hi everyone,

Thinking about putting a hen up for a swap, but wondering how to do so safely.
Should we quarantine the swapped bird? How do you?
Is there an article on this already?

I would quarantine the swapped bird, yes. Just put it in its own coop or dog crate for at least a few days (depends on where you got it). Then introduce to the main flock like normal, though it is often difficult to add a single hen. I looked for articles but couldn't find any. Hope this helps .
