I would turn off the brooder lamp at night too.My girls are 5 weeks, pretty well feathered out. I’m turning all supplemental heat off in the basement where they are now during the day (probably 50s) but putting brooder lamp on at night. Any suggestions on next steps?
I would try them with no brooder lamp in the basement now, and then try putting them outside when the night temperatures go up in a few days. The next 2 days are cold at night (30) but after Monday (May 6) nightime temps in 50s. Are they ready to go straight to outdoor coop & run? I know I am!
