how to "serve" grit & oyster shell

I use a couple of those metal rabbit feeders that are made to hang on the outside of the wire rabbit cages. I hang them in the chicken coop and they work great.

I do the same thing.

sorry to hijack this post but the oyster shells I got from the co-op has pretty big pieces? I expected it to be more like the chick grit I gave the lil ones? is this typical?
Can you post a photo of what you got - maybe put a coin along side the shell for size reference.
Oyster shell is bigger than chick grit - I would say it's about the size of adult poultry grit (+/-)

"They" call it repurposing.

I call it finally using up some of that junk in the basement that you never threw away because you just knew you would need it one day.

What is that thing called though so I can look for one.
