Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

From the angle she looks like a pullet. She's lovely!

You may want to also ask in the breed and gender section.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

From what I understand you can't sex them until they are about 6 months old. Either they crow or lay an egg. I don't keep this breed, so I am not sure. But this is what I have heard here around BYC.

But you can also post pics in our What Breed and Gender section for more help...https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

Enjoy your silkies and welcome to our flock!

They don't look bearded maybe it's just the angle. Try posting photos on the "Silkie Thread"

Sorry I'm new. When I go to the silkie thread how do I do my own new thread. I seem to only be able to comment on other threads that are already going. If any one can advise me it would be much appreciated.

We don't have a Silkie section. All we have is the Silkie thread. :) The silkie thread is only for commenting. So just post a question on that thread. All you have to do is hit the reply button or scroll down to the reply box just as you are doing here. Post pics, or ask any question you may have. Click here and I have you on the page you need to be on to post pics or questions....https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/297632/silkie-thread/50480
