How to slow down cornish cross weight gain

Many of my CX are weighing in at close to ten pounds but I cannot process them until Saturday. The seem healthy and content. I'm happy with their current weight so wondering if I should switch their food to either a lower protein crumble or even a soaked scratch grain (my layers love the Bar Ale 6 grain) rather than their 22% meat bird feed. I do 12 on / 12 off and I know I could just feed them less, but they are already pretty nutty by the time morning rolls around.

All they can eat in 20 minutes 2x a day. Have to have enough room so everyone can eat at the same time.

You can put them on lower protein food for sure. It slows their growth.
