How to splint a toe??

I think my little Silkie has a broken toe. She has been walking fine and acting fine. Her toe kind of curves but do I need to splint it?? And if I do, how do I splint it?

I have no idea whether or not splinting is required for something like that, but if you do have to, I guess I'd suggest making a shoe the same way you would for a chick with curled toes. Use a cereal box or stronger piece of cardboard, press the foot flat onto it (with the toe where you want it) & tape over the top of the foot. Make sure it's not too much bigger than the foot so she doesn't have too much trouble walking.
Now, ALL that being said - She'll probably be just fine if you leave her alone. But I'm no chicken podiatry expert.
