Hi everyone i am needing your expertise to help me (again) I want to earn some money by selling some chickens as trios but don't know how to get started so this is where you come in to this!

Firstly i need to know how to advertise (website and so on)
secondly i need to know how to start up in the cheepest way
and lastly these are the breeds i will be selling (all large fowl) pure light sussex, red stars x light sussex, white sussex x light sussex and blue laced red wyandottes. is there anything else you think i should breed?
Also how to sell hatching eggs online and post them safely without breaking them!

A good way to advertise is to put an ad in the poultry press. Going to shows and showing people that your birds are good quality and getting your name out is good too. Plus if you start winning at shows people would be willing to pay more for stock that they know is high quality. Not sure on the cheapest way to start setting things up. Obviously your breeds list won't be complete without Brahmas

! When I sell hatching eggs I start by wrapping pipe insulators around each individual egg. Leaving an inch of space on the top and bottom. with this space I stuff and tape in shredded paper. I also tape the pipe insulator so it doesn't allow the eggs to fall out. Then I put a few layers of bubble wrap on the bottom of the box. Lay the eggs on top of this air cell end UP! Once those are in I take and put shredded paper in every place possible. Then I wrap up some bubble wrap and place it arounf the sides of the box to keep the insulators from being in direct contact with the sides. Finally, I place a sheet or two of bubble wrap on top and seal it up. Write "living embryos" on top and your done. I have done it this way twice not and not one was cracked or broken. Mine have gone to Texas and Montana from Ohio. Good l luck selling your birds.
