How to stop chickens from pulling out emus feathers?

My poor emu has gone almost completely bald on her back from the chickens pulling out her feathers??? We tried separating her from them, but she is so attached to them that she rubbed her neck raw and featherless on the fence trying to get back to them! so we ended up putting her back with them. Any suggestions? Separating them is not an option at this point, but is there something I can put on her back to make the chickens not like the taste - lemon juice? Vinegar? Should I make her some kind of clothing to cover her back?? Any help/suggestions help, thanks guys!

I would try wrapping a towel or sweatshirt on it to cover her bare skin so it doesn't get sunburn or worse.
