How to stop egg breaking?

Not sure how big a 'scoop' is,
but they should have unlimited access to feed every hour they are awake.
Is the OS in a separate feeder...and are they eating it?

They have unlimited food, I add some every day, they still have food left in their feeder when I add more in the mornings. I haven’t seen them eat any of the oyster shells honestly, it’s in a separate feeder. Is there anything else I can try to help them with thicker shells?

You can try adding some crushed eggshells to the oyster shell, to encourage them to eat it. Some birds may find that to be more to their liking.

Or try sprinkling a bit of oyster shell on the ground near the dispenser. It may make them more curious about trying it. SOme chickens prefer picking it up while scratching around, instead of taking it out of a dish.

I know I'm late but all I have to say is add mustard and vinegar to an empty egg. Stopped mine instantly. (They don't like the taste)
