I saved this, thank you @WallyG74 My first "Chickens". were a basket my Daddy won for me in a raffle. It contained a stuffed corduroy red hen and 4 or 5 yellow stuffed chicks. I was very young, it's been over 60 years and I have never forgotten it. If it had been up to Daddy we would have lived about 1 or 2 miles farther out and had a whole small farm full of animals. Daddy raised horses as a young man (before me). I wish I had, had the ability to have a horse once in my life time, but that wasn't to be. C'est la Guerre.

It’s just part of having chickens. My rooster even gets in on the squawking some days. Not sure there’s anything to be done about it short of just not having chickens.

My roosters, junior and senior, both join the hens in the egg song. What a cacophony! I love it! We’ve gone thru a long cold quiet winter and the egg song is one of my favorite sounds of spring.

I love my girls egg songs! I have 12, only a few of them are really loud, but it’s just during their laying time and then they quiet down. It tells me I’ll have beautiful fresh eggs soon!

5 minutes they would be super loud, and for 3 of them laying about 15 minutes a day.

Only 5 minutes for each chicken? Some of mine go for closer to 10 minutes! I don't mind it though, as it notifies me that they've laid.

God, I have about an hour each day for mine. But usultheh do it around the same time so it isn't super long

Usually ,second year most clucks go away,after couple weeks resuming laying.
