I'm with my peeps in Maine. It's cold! So, if there are no visible cracks the egg should be okay? There have been times I have 't been availible to go out and pick eggs all day and they were very cold...
I live in Alaska. If the egg is frozen I usually just toss it. I too refrigerate the eggs since they are already cold. It makes sense to me. Come summer time I'm going to store them on the counter. We have a second fridge in the garage for extra supplies. So if we run out of space in our kitchen fridge we store them in the extra fridge.
We have four hens and we get four eggs a day right now with only about 5hrs of daylight. Which I thought was very reasonable. Lol
