I am raising three chicks and two ducklings (all hatched within a week of each other). I am currently feeding organic, non-medicated chick starter to all. I understand that I need to raise protein and niacin for ducklings. What is the best way to raise the protein? I have read cooked egg and I also have dried mealworms for them (though the chicks always beat them to that treat!). Should I be trying to feed the ducklings some protein separately each day? And, for the niacin, I have read that you can add nutritional yeast to the water but is it okay if they share the same water with the chicks?? Should I maybe put some nutritional yeast in with some cooked egg for them and feed them separately? Any advice (particularly about amounts since I only have two of them) would be so greatly appreciated!

1 Tablespoon of NY to each cup of feed and it won't hurt the chicks. I have fed my ducklings starter and other than giving them meal worms for a treat daily I only added the NY to their food and they all have done great.

Thank you! That's great. I wasn't sure if it would hurt the chicks.
