do any goose experts have some general tips for differentiating between the two sexes?
i've got four young geese (6m) -- two emdens and two grey saddleback pomeranians.
obviously once they lay eggs this will become more, um, obvious. but i've been wondering about things like neck feathers and such. please share your wisdom, oh goose enthusiasts.

It's almost impossible to tell the difference of adult geese because unlike ducks they don't have sex feathers, different sounds, or color (for the most part.) The one breed you can tell surefire is the Pilgrim (it's a sex-linked goose) If your an expert I guess you can tell gender by the knob size (there's only a slight difference) Normally people will vent sex waterfowl at a young age (exactly like a rabbit) and they normally can tell that way.

that is hilarious! I do think it will help, actually. I've been thinking for awhile that if I knew a little more, I could tell from their behavior who is what. thanks!
