How to tell if turkey is sick? Pretty sure my tom is sick

I have an almost 15 week old White BB turkey. They are about 3 weeks away from butcher. Yesterday I noticed my biggest bird who I am almost certain is a Tom was sleeping a lot standing and with his head tucked in under his feathers. Today he is doing the same but sleeping even more. He is eating and drinking some but not as aggressively as he normally is. Normally he will clear a bowl of scraps in 2 min. Now he takes a couple bites and goes off to sleep. I'm worried something is wrong. Last I weighed him was a few weeks ago @13lbs so I am assuming he is about 15-17lbs right now. Is there anything I should be looking for? Poo seems normal. I have not seen anything that appear suspicious yet.

I will say that here (Oregon) we had amazing weather up until about 2 weeks ago. We went from 70-80 degree weather to 50-60 and colder nights. As I am a backyard farmer of sorts we did not build a special coop for the turks as they were only going to be around till thanksgiving. Could the weather be playing a part in it or because they are not fully sheltered at night?

I hope someone has some insightful info. It is hard to get any good info on Turkeys!

Thining back a couple days ago I did unload the fridge and gave everyone (chickens and turks) all the older veggies and fruits. There was a cut up Avocado in there as well. I wasn't sure if that was an Ok food for them and didn't look it up. It appears it could be toxic. could this maybe be what is going on? If so is there something that can be done? Everyone else is just fine so far.

A couple of ideas that might help test `toxin' hypothesis: Molasses Purge:

Do the turks have access to grit? (5/16" - 7/16" diameter granite grit is useful if they are being fed anything more fibrous than commercial crumbles)

Also, check to see if breath is foul smelling/crop is becoming distended (impacted/sour crop).
