how to tell male vs female?

i know with mallards its ovious ( we have one who is already getting its white ring around the neck) but with the white, how do you tell? i read it on here somewhere but now can't find it.

I noticed with my pekings the females have a slender, elongated head,duck bill compared to the males. The males also when they quack is a bit raspy compared to the females "quack"

the quack has been my bet or the tale curle but that dosnt always happen with pekins
