Now that I think my poults are holding their own and may actually may survive I am curious to the possible sex of the remaining poults.

Do the toms feather out later than the hens? I know roos do and I can spot a roo at 2 days old and I'm wondering if that holds true for turkeys as well. Any other ways to tell?

I really need to have a pair of each breed

Same question here ... my 1 week old midget whites are doing well.
Some actually look like they are strutting ... maybe those are toms ?

I"m new to Turkey's as well, but from what I've read, I don't think there's any way to tell their gender until they are older and start gobbling/displaying. I'd love to know if there is a way to tell much sooner than that though!
