I've been looking and looking and reading about Cayuga ducks and the Black Runners and the ducklings look soo similar.
When/how do you tell the difference between the two? I have 3 babies that are almost 3 weeks old. They are tall, and a chocolate brown color. They have dark beaks and dark legs. One of them has a small spot of yellow on their neck. They are very vocal already..
I got them from TS. About how old do they need to be before I can tell the difference in the breeds?
They look light because they are under the light right now, but look darker in person.
