Ok I have to know and can’t be the only one who has no clue as to which one of my hens and pullets laid which eggs. How do some of you know exactly which hen laid a certain egg?? Tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I really don’t think there is a way to tell unless each one lays a different colored egg. Maybe size difference? A pullet egg would be smaller than an older hens egg I would think.
Sorry I’m not more help but I’m still fairly new myself lol

Very easy to do. BUT,,, how many chickens are we looking to determine???
If not too many in question,, the easiest solution is food coloring spread on vent. The eggs will come out with color streaks.
All you have to do is keep track which color to which hen.

Genius! I never would have even thought about that

If you don't have a large flock and have a mix of breeds that lay different colored/tinted eggs, it's usually not too terribly difficult to match egg to layer. Otherwise, if you have nothing better to do you can also just stand in the coop and watch them lay.

You have 2 options here. Yes, have somewhere to sit as well.
Bring some good reading material. :old
Bring your tablet, and connect wifi to BYC. :thumbsup
It never occurred to me to sit haha. I just stand there and watch, or squat in place until my calves get sore. I just find the process fascinating I guess, even with my older birds I can tell when the egg's about to drop so I'll stand and watch if I happen to catch them in the act.

Totally understand,,,, But what if there are multiple hens to wait out for. Bring refreshments,,, and maybe some sandwiches in a brown paper bag as well. :frow :idunno
