how to tell what mixes i have?

6 chicks.
2 completely white. feathers coming in white a few look tanish?
2 white with black dots feathers coming in white with black dots.
(these four have white legghorn moms.)
2 Black with yellow/tan colored face... feathers coming in barred?
(moms are BO.)
Possible dads are either
A. EE roo (avatar)
B. Black Australorp.
any ideas on what are what?

Were they broody hatched or were they hatched in an incubator?

How do you know who laid the eggs?

I ask because we just had the experience of my sisters broody that laid eggs for one season and then went broody on a bunch of barred rock eggs. The chicks are adorable but definitely not hers since her eggs were very small to start out her first season.
