Hi All

I'm new here

We have a flock of 6 chickens we've had for about a year. They free range in the day and all go back into their coop at night. We just got 10 polish crested chicks - they're about 2 months old now - and are just adorable. I've been free ranging them too, they go back into their crate I raised them in at night, but now I want them to start going into the 'big' chicken coop at night as it seems all the chickens have accepted each other.
Is the best way to just put them in the 'big' coop at night, leave them in there for a couple of days and hope that they learn to go back in there with the flock, or is there another way to do it? I hate leaving them cooped up all day and night. If there was a way I could free range them AND get them in the big coop at night that would be excellent.

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

Emily

i would free range them and when it is time to put them up i would lock them up like the rest, and let them free range again doing this each day till they start to do it own their own, they should catch on pretty easy,
