How to train puppy to protect chickens?

I have a 3 and a half month old Rottweiler puppy. I want to train her to protect my chickens from predators like foxes, raccoons, stray dogs ect... (Note: as I was writing this a fox came out of nowhere and started to dig under the run to get my chickens. Thank goodness the pots, pans, stick and rock throwing scared it off.) anywho, I'd like to know how I can get my dog to protect my chickens, without her eating them as well. Please let me know any and all methods you have used!

I am in the same predicament as you. My 7 month old puppy has been fine with chickens and seemed to be a protector on the making. However, last month he started killing them for sport and attention. Now I'm completely at a loss!
