how to train your chicks to love you!!

i got chicks today and a want them to come runing when you come and love get picked up
i tryed to get them treats put when i pick them up they just want to go back with the others

Mine didn't start running to me until I started doing some handfeeding. Once they made the food/hand connection, they stopped hiding in the back of their cage and most come running to the door when I show up. Also handle them a fair amount - hold them to your chest, go 'shhh shhhh shhhh' quietly until they calm and gently massage the backs of their necks. The ones I handled the most when they were little (had to clean their pasty vents) are the ones that are the most friendly today.
