Evening,

I am new on here so please excuse my inexperience.
we have taken delivery of 6 miniature silver Appleyard duck eggs. We have a small 7 egg dome incubator. The eggs are in, point down as instructed. The thing I’m wondering is, how do we turn them?, is it to turn them top to bottom or just to turn them around and slightly tilt them inwards? I understand the turning is to stop them from sticking to the egg shell and to maintain the air sack, is that right? Any help and advice is welcome, thank you

I have heard it suggested that the whole incubator can be slightly tilted and tilted a bit different several times a day. like get block or somthing about a inch or little more and mark the base with numbers and just move the block around to a new number a few times a day. That is if the water for the humidity can be tilted that much. With my cheapy bator I don't even have them on end I just turn them about a 1/4 turn on their sides a few times a day My hatch rates are right up there on par. Just try to be quick so the bator can warm and humidify back up. Good luck this is the right place to hang out and search for info a wealth of knowledge has saved me many times over the last couple years.
